Student Life

Goals for Students

Our student life is characterized by a holistic approach to education that seeks to nurture the mind, body, and spirit within a supportive and faith-centered community.

  • Christ is at the center of everything we teach. Our day begins with morning assembly which sets the tone for our day. Students will experience singing, prayer and devotionals along with exordiums to keep them focused on Christ like behavior through out the day. Each week we also hold a chapel service.

  • Davenport Christian School seeks to promote community engagement. Students, teachers, and staff often come together for worship, service projects, and fellowship activities. Community service is encouraged and our students  give back to their local community and beyond.

  • Alongside academic achievements, Davenport Christian School prioritizes character development based on biblical principles. Students are encouraged to demonstrate virtues such as compassion, integrity, and humility in their interactions with others.

  • A love and respect for others is deeply rooted in Christian values. At Davenport Christian School we strive to create an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and respects different cultural backgrounds. Students may have opportunities to engage in discussions about social justice, global issues, and the importance of understanding and respecting others though a biblical world view.

  • DCS encourages students to participate in activities outside of the classroom. We believe that students should have time to pursue interests and time with their families. DCS facilitates this by limiting the amount of homework students have.

  • Davenport Christian School students have mentors or spiritual advisors who provide guidance, accountability ,and support in their faith journey. These relationships help students navigate challenges, deepen their understanding of scripture, and grow in their relationship with God.
